Amy Allison Thompson

Amy grew up in eastern Montana and is the Executive Director of Missoula Food Bank & Community Center. Amy cares deeply about social justice and the wellbeing of her fellow humans. She graduated from the University of Montana, with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in social work. Previously, she served as the Executive Director of the Poverello Center and the National Association of Social Workers Montana Chapter. She also worked as a psychotherapist and specialized in issues related to domestic violence, LGBTQIA+ issues, and homelessness. Amy currently serves as the chair of the Women Foundation's Advisory Committee. When she is not working or volunteering, she enjoys spending time with family and going on adventures in remote corners of Montana on foot, ski, or mountain bike.
